Medieval Antique Daggers

Antique daggers refer to hand weapons that are used more as a collector's item rather than for any other functional reason.

Daggers are increasingly becoming a favorite collectible and are accessible with antique dealers for selected clients.

Leading manufacturers are now preoccupied with making reproductions of unique antique daggers using the most excellent material.

The various types of antique daggers include hunting daggers skinning daggers pocket daggers and specialty daggers.

There are quite a few primary companies that are now into manufacturing reproductions of antique daggers which are mostly used for decorative purpose.

Some of them include Stiletto which is an Italian dagger and features a slender razor blade and fancy feel.

This weapon was extremely famous and was used somewhere in the 17th century. Another popular dagger is known as Rondel that has a straight blade and is quite narrow with a disc shaped guard. This tool had gained immense popularity in the 14th century.

The last one so known as the Baselard and was originated in Switzerland during the middle age. But it became popular only during the 1930s when the Nazis used it the most.

These daggers are still not officially licensed but they are very similar to the knives that were used by Legolas, and presently the only imitation of its kind exists.

Another famous dagger is the “Medieval Feasting knife” that was used to eat chunks of cheese, meat during the middle Ages.

These medieval feasting knives comprise of a wooden handle, a sleek carbon steel blade with a razor-sharp point, and a striking leather sheath.
