The Rigvedic literature is based on religion that illustrates things relating to art and craft.

The reason why they do so it because out of all the objects, art and craft is in a straight line or at least in some way connected with the religious rituals.

It is a fact that the artistic inclination of our ancestors is not yet revealed but the only option left was to preview into their way of life.

There were times when some of the antique objects were referred in terms of the mystical and spiritual in order to create some sort of fright toward them.

The most important category of containers, pot and pans referred in the Rig-Veda are countless.

Rig-Veda reveals no information on the variety of techniques that were used in the making of these vessels and other things.

The common word used to refer to pots in the Rigvedic literature is “Patra”. It gained a general implication and was then also used to specify different types and kinds of pots.

One of the most common materials used to form vessels that were used included wood and clay.

Containers that were used for the purpose of offering sacrifices and worship were frequently made out of wood.

Clay pots were used mainly for domestic uses. There was a slight indication of the use of metal pots as well while leather material was also used to make vessels.

Fascinatingly, the scriptures that used were also crafted out of precious metal such as gold and silver.

The sand ware was considered the most easy to  make but however the scriptures were always scripted on metal as it was out of the ordinary.

The Rig-Veda encompasses an authentic detailed treasure details which reveals information relating to the pre-historic history of the Vedic Aryans.
