Glass is simply referred to as a uniform shapeless solid
material, typically produced when the thick molten material
cools extremely quickly to below its glass transition temperature,
without adequate time for a standard crystal lattice to form.
The most common form of glass is the silica-based substance
used for windows, containers and other decorative and handmade
objects.
An unadulterated form glass is basically a crystal clear,
strong, durable, in actual fact inert, and biologically stationary
material that can be formed with very smooth and resistant
surfaces.
Glass is extremely brittle and will shatter into sharp shards.
These properties can be altered or even modified with the addition
of other compounds or heat treatment.
Due to the ability that glass possesses of taking any form and acquire scintillating colors, it typically offered new definitions to the art of glasswork during the Moghul era. |
